On Monday afternoon the Goodlettsville community gathered along with Nashville's Mayor and Metro Nashville Public School's Director to officially open the new Goodlettsville Elementary School.
The new 81,750 sf, two-story school building features sensory-friendly experiences for students to support the overall well-being of the students. And to foster their education on a social and emotional level. Sensory features include: pathways in hallways, reading corners, interactive light wall display, peace corners, and classrooms dedicated for emotional regulation of students throughout the school day.
Other unique features of the building include a slide from the second story to the lobby, a gymnasium with interactive game display to be used during P.E., and a media room.
